Oh Laura Mercier, you have me under your spell. Each one of your highlighters bewitches me with their smooth pearl finish and unparalleled glow. Spellbound was the top of my acquisition list on a recent trip in July to Chicago and we have been inseparable since. But first let me applaud the Laura Mercier counter at Nordstrom on Michigan Avenue, particularly makeup artist Amber Ely, for the exemplary customer service and beautiful card she sent in the mail. If you are in the Chicago area stop by and visit Amber and she will hook you up with a personalized look. As a beauty blogger I have frequented my fair share of counters and has raised the bar and made me all the more excited for Nordstrom’s launch here in Vancouver.
An exquisite rose gold of the finest light reflecting pigments, Spellbound will help to prolong the illusion of a summer glow and to enhance any tan that you have picked up over the sumer. On my one-shade-above-translucent skin Spellbound is the perfect highlighter because the slight peach undertone counteracts any natural redness on my cheeks leaving a natural radiance. This colour is sure to compliment every skin tone. It also works exceptionally well as an eyeshadow!
I prefer the subtlety of a softer application with a fine fluffy brush, but this product is buildable for those who prefer a more impacting finish. As an eyeshadow it applies and blends flawlessly with absolutely no fallout. This is truly a multi-purpose product.
