Anastasia Holiday 2012 Review and Swatches: Want You to Want Me Eye Kit and Palette

Anastasia has released the perfect limited edition eye kit for the holiday season inspired by the decadence of the 1970s. The Want You to Want Me kit is housed in a velvet clutch complete with a removable mirrored eye shadow palette, dual ended brush, mini clear brow gel and ink black liquid eyeliner.

My holiday season is always full of after-work parties and events that require my beauty touch-ups to happen on the go. This eye kit is highly mobile due to its sturdy outer body so you can fearlessly throw it in to your clutch without worries of shattered shadows. The flip fastener hugs the edge of the kit and ensures that you the individual pieces don’t fall in to the dark bowels of your handbag never to be seen again.

The 9 long wearing eye shadows really speak for themselves in terms of quality and colour payoff. Anastasia’s velvety smooth matte and hydrating Illumin8 shimmer formulas are amongst my favourite on the market. They wear all day with limited fading and no creasing  thanks to the high saturation of pigments. The Illumin8 formulas are very versatile because they can be worn dry or wet for finishes from a sheer wash of colour to an opaque metallic.

(natural light)

(Ziggy, Front Row Centre, Platform Wedge)

(Jellies, , Power Ballad, Members Only)

(Iron On, Brass in Pockets, Graphic T’s)

Aptly named, there isn’t anything about this palette that a beauty lover wouldn’t want.
