Tell the truth: you have Justin Timberlake singing in your head right now, don’t you? Lets call the name what it is: a marketing gimmick; but it apparently it worked on me. When I think of sexy packaging the image that comes to mind is something slim and lightweight with a sleek typeface. Very minimalistic and chic. Too Faced’s packaging is has a boudoir feel and the chunky plastic case feels more sturdy than luxurious. It does lend itself well to travelling-mine survived the trip back from Maui in my luggage without cracking or shattering shadows.

If you’re thinking that you don’t see any mattes, then you are right. In spite of the official description every one of these shadows has either an iridescent, shimmer or glitter finish (aren’t they pretty?!). The top three shades work best as highlight colours and are slightly less pigmented than the other 4 in each set. The colours are extremely rich in pay-off. They are best applied by pressing them in to the lid and then lightly blending as they can produce some fallout due to the soft texture. The shadows with glitter particules have a slightly gritty feel, but that doesn’t stop them from applying smoothly and evenly. Still, I strongly recommend using the accompanying primer beneath these shadows to prolong the longevity and get the full impact of the colours.

The eyeliner is genius! Seriously, this is the pencil eyeliner to defeat them all. Super creamy and the blackest, most opaque rich colour that DOES NOT COME OFF. I may or may not have accidentally fell asleep with my eye makeup on and found my eyeliner perfectly intack in the morning.
